Below, you’ll find other important information about this position. This position assists the Qualified Medical Physicist (QMP) in the professional practice of clinical medical physics. General responsibilities of the Medical Physicist Assistant (MPA) include performing routine machine and patient specific quality assurance (QA), participating in acceptance testing and commissioning of new equipment, and assaying radioactive sources. The MPA is supervised by the QMP, who assumes full responsibility for MPA work-product. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1. Bachelors degree in Physics, health physics, engineering, or related field. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE: 1.
