Description The Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) Department of Pediatrics seeks a BC/BE Child Abuse Pediatrician to join the Center for Child Protection & Well-Being at Vanderbilt. Interested candidate will have the opportunity to join a dynamic abuse pediatrics team consisting of the lead child abuse pediatrician, nurse practitioners, program coordinator, dedicated social worker, and nutritionist. Our team's clinical activities include evaluations of suspected victims of child maltreatment in the inpatient and outpatient settings. We also partner with a community organization staffed by forensic nurse practitioners int he evaluation of suspected child sexual abuse. Participation in hospital and community-based multidisciplinary teams as well as provision of education to learners are key roles of all team members. Opportunities to engage in research, quality improvement, or medical education are also available and highly encouraged. Academic rank, track, and compensation will be dependent upon qualifications.
