Early Career Piping Engineer As a Piping Engineer in Amentum’s Nuclear Projects team, you will work with mid and senior level Engineers to design systems for Piping, HVAC and Plumbing. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting in the development of: Requirements : Mechanical Engineering BS Degree from an accredited university A general understanding of Building Mechanical Systems: HVAC/Piping/Plumbing - Material Specifications - Construction Specifications - Hydraulic Calculations - Air Flow Calculations - Utility Equipment sizing calculations - Stress Analysis calculations - Mechanical Equipment Schedules - Plumbing fixture specifications - Review and Validation for International Building Code (IBC) Requirements - Material Handing mechanical specifications for conveyors, hoists, cranes, lifts, dolly’s, etc. - General oversight of the system design for compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specific customer requirements. - Field Inspections and walkdowns of existing mechanical systems Preferred Qualifications: In addition to the Basic Qualifications the ideal candidate might also have: - Intern or related working experience is preferred - Effecti...
