Salary Range: $39,520 - $52,875 Grade 7 FLSA Non-Exempt Purpose of Classification: The purpose of this classification is to maintain, repair and replace the tires on all County vehicles, heavy truck and off-road equipment. This classification is safety sensitive, subject to random drug testing in accordance with the County’s Drug & Alcohol Policy. Essential Functions: The following duties are normal for this position. Other duties may be required and assigned. Operates or uses various machinery, equipment, power tools, hand tools, and supplies in order to complete work assignments; operates and maintains tire maintenance equipment including mounting and inflating equipment; and maintains a basic mechanics tool kit. Inspects wheels and tires for damage or wear; ensures damage or wear is within safety ranges; initiates repair or replacement work orders as needed; and performs repair or replacement work as needed.
