Your Role: The Purchasing Agent assists the Supply Chain department in the everyday purchasing, tracking, receiving and shipping of materials. Job Duties: - Responsible for placing material and equipment orders. - Responsible for order follow-up and resolving backorders - Responsible for negotiating preferred/discount pricing or contract pricing with vendors - Responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with vendors. - Enters orders into AX Dynamics inventory control system. - Prepares and process the return of merchandise items back to vendors. - Prepares shipments of materials to clients and outside consultants. - Source new and secondary materials. - Prepare and revise internal documentation (RMS’s) for materials - Backs up and assists Shipping and Receiving Clerk - Perform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications: - Requires an associate degree or equivalent combination of experie...
