Salary: £39,027 - £44,463 per annum * + 7.5% Shift Allowance Additional Market Supplement of £5,000 per annum reviewed annually* Permanent Contract: 37 Hours per Week About the Role: Fleet Management Division are looking for a Vehicle Technician to help Thurrock Council maintain 155 vehicles 61 of them are HGV vehicles the rest comprises of small vans to caged tippers, plus over 500 pieces of plant + equipment. You will be a key member of our team maintaining vehicles to the highest standard and carry out: - Inspections of vehicles to “O” licence standards - Preparing vehicles for MOT - Vehicle condition reports - Vehicle and plant servicing, maintenance and repairs - Welding and fabrication - Bodywork repairs - Vehicle and plant recovery - Maintaining statutory records - Providing cover for seasonal events outside of core working hours What We Are Looking For: As a qualified Vehicle Technician, the successful candidate will need to have: You will be required to work 37 hours per week on a rotating shift pattern of 06:00 – 14:00 & 10:00 – 18:00.
