CNC Machinist

Job description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities: - Performs typical machine shop operations - Set up and operate machining center(s) per work instructions - Analyze written specifications, drawings and rough sketches and takes verbal instructions to plan layout and determine sequence of operations - Follow work instructions and standard operating procedures - Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or other designee - Perform the following tasks including, but not limited to: milling, turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing and sanding - Perform inspection of machined product (including documentation of results) - Complete and maintain paperwork for parts - Assist in other work areas, including but not limited to, pre-form fabrication, lay-up, infiltration, furnace operation and sand blasting - Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follows prescribed safety procedures - Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) - Confers with engineers, production personnel, programmers, or others to resolve issues - Complete other duties as assigned Education & Experience: - Minimum four (4) years’ experience as CNC Operator or equi...
