Job description

The Banner Database Administrator independently manages, upgrades and supports Banner applications and enterprise Oracle databases (19c or newer), with a preference for experience in cloud environments such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role is responsible for performing routine, complex, and emergency Banner upgrades to ensure optimal performance and data integrity across all environments. The position also serves as a subject matter expert for Banner modules, including General, Financial Aid, Accounts Receivable, and Registration. This position is a Limited Duration Appointment (LDA). An LDA is a form of regular employment for specific/ special projects and/or circumstances of uncertain or limited duration. An LDA may be established for up to one year with an option to renew the appointment annually for a maximum of three years. Lead and perform Ellucian Banner application and database upgrades and related initiatives. Resolve Banner and data warehouse issues and provide advanced database troubleshooting.
