Counselor - Gateway Boys Academy Job Description/Summary: Gateway Boys Academy, a Christian boarding school for at-risk teen boys ages 12-17, is looking for a Master’s Level Counselor who is a mature Christian and has a passion for working with struggling teens and their families. The Counselor will assist students in gaining insight into their problems, defining goals, and planning action. The position requires weekly staff meetings along with individual counseling, group counseling, and case management services for their students. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to blend their clinical training with their biblical knowledge in an effort to help teens overcome their trauma. Counselor Requirements: Master’s degree (preferred) in Counseling or a relevant field such as psychology, social work, pastoral counseling, etc. Must understand the practical application of Biblical principles Previous experience working with youth and families is preferred A background check and pastoral or ministerial leader reference is required.
