Quality Associate- 2nd shift Forge QA

Job description

Position Purpose: Responsible for carrying out all quality control activities within the forging department including inspection, examination, testing, and sorting. Responsible for ensuring that product and incoming material are free from visual defects, and in compliance with all dimensional requirements, customer specifications, and workmanship standards. Hourly Pay Range: $19.00 - $22.35 Essential Functions: - Read and understand all procedures and work instructions necessary for properly carrying out the requirements of this position. - Perform first piece, in-process, and final audit inspection of product from all stages of manufacture or processing within the forging department. - Compare material with part prints, engineering standards, and reference samples (or photos) to ensure all products are complete and correct to specification. - Fill out all required check sheets and inspection records. - Properly identify (tag) and segregate material found to be nonconforming. - Report findings to QA Supervisor and to Forging Dept.
