MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / COMPETENCIES: The incumbent is a smart and practical lawyer who is part of the legal team as the commercial counsel. The role will support STAAR’s day-to-day commercial contracting efforts, including drafting and negotiating customer, vendor, and physician consulting agreements, and contribute to the overall success of the legal team. This role will also help support the legal review of marketing and promotional materials, including advising on applicable medical device marketing and other compliance regulations. This role will be located in STAAR’s Lake Forest, CA headquarters. Key Responsibilities: - Commercial contracting: Drafting and negotiating contracts and advising clients on a broad range of legal and contractual matters to support STAAR’s business; updating contract templates, playbooks and policies; and supporting overall contract management.
