This position ensures high-quality appearance and longevity of flooring surfaces. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: · Perform all duties of Custodian I and II as needed. · Strip, wax, buff, and refinish floors using advanced techniques. · Operate and maintain all floor care equipment (buffers, burnishers, auto scrubbers, etc.). · Clean and maintain carpeted areas using extraction and bonnet cleaning methods. · Maintain safety standards when mixing and using chemicals. · Monitor floor conditions and recommend preventive maintenance schedules. · Maintain logs of work completed and materials used. · Train other custodial staff in proper floor care and safety procedures.
