Description Safe Fleet a leader in the truck equipment manufacturing industry, is looking for an Fabricator/Welder to work as part of a team fabricating, installing and repairing Automated Tarp Systems. We are looking for a mechanical Fabricator/Welder. This full-time position is responsible for on premises tarp system fabricating, repair and installation for the trucking industry. The qualified candidate must be a high energy, physical individual with experience working on triaxle truck bodies and semi-trailers in a fast paced, labor intensive environment. This individual will need to be motivated by a competitive industry and be results, detail and team-oriented. COMPETENCIES: QUALIFICATIONS: - Fabricates steel and other metal parts as indicated by the work order and blueprints. - Maneuver fabrication machines, such as grinders, drill presses, brakes, rolls, shears, and flame cutters to cut, grind, and adjust material. - Sets up and operates gas welding machines to weld metal parts according to work orders, blueprint layouts and verbal instructions. - Regulates flow of gases for proper mixture. - Cleans parts to remove contamination prior to welding - Set up and operates all phas...
