Purpose of the Role: To undertake the safe and efficient driving and operation of trains as directed on weekly roster and daily train plan. Person Specification: - Appropriate traction knowledge - Freight rules & regulations - Basic wagon knowledge - Personal Track Safety - It would be advantageous if the job holder had current route knowledge for LNW/Midlands Region Key Responsibilities: - Responsible for the safe, efficient and productive operation of freight trains. - Carry out train driving duties in accordance with laid down procedures. - Ensure safety of the line and all employees and public that may be affected by the operation of trains. - Undertake locomotive preparation and disposal duties, and fuel locomotives when re...
