Description Here at AO Multispecialty Clinic, the Patient Scheduler at Check Out serves as a receptionist for all exiting patients. A Patient Scheduler checks patients out, schedules their future appointments and other ancillary appointments, and can often serve as a liaison between the patient and the provider. Requirements: Major Duties and Responsibilities: - Check out patients - Schedule follow-up and outside referral appointments for patients (scans, etc) - Give patient copy of appointments made and/or Visit Summary - Sort and distribute mail - Reschedule appointments as needed - Fill in for Patient Registration at Check-In as needed Experience and Education: - High school graduate or equivalent - 1+ year of medical office experience preferred - Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience preferred - Proficient in Microsoft Office programs Skills and Abilities: - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with patience and compassion - Ability to effectively multi-task - Ability to comply with OSHA and HIPAA policies - Exceptional interpersonal skills
