We are excited to announce a new opportunity for aspiring EMTs. Due to recent expansion of services, HealthPartners Medical Transportation (HPMT) has several exciting new positions available as an EMT Trainee. Our EMT Trainee position will provide you the on-hands training and education to complete your EMT certification with the Minnesota Emergency Services Regulatory Board. The purpose of this Trainee position is to provide an opportunity to individuals who have interest in the EMS field to get their EMT Certificate. It is not intended for individuals who already have their EMT Certificate. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, the EMT Trainee performs duties in the maintenance and setup of BLS ambulance and wheelchair van equipment. Operates department vehicles and provides non-emergent medical transportation services to patients per MN Department of Transportation (DOT) Specialized Transportation Service (STS) authority. Assists in the delivery of Basic Life Support services under the direction of an EMT/Lead EMT in the hospital, on-scene, or in moving ambulances.
