Description The Psychiatrist provides direct patient care for South Coast Community Services. This role serves as a liaison and consultant to clinical staff. The Psychiatrist collaborates with the program directors, managers, supervisors, clinical staff, on issues clinical in nature. We strive to provide an environment conducive to continuous quality improvement, develop and maintain professional relationships within and external to the organization. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: - Diagnosing and treating adult and child patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. - Determining the nature and extent of mental disorders, and formulating a treatment program utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications. - Providing direct patient care to individuals with mental health as their primary diagnosis, as well as individuals suffering from a secondary mental health disturbance or illness. - This role requires understanding of medications and interactions with mental health symptoms, as well as impacts to overall physical health implications of drugs and drug interactions and collaborating with, edu...
