Position Description At a Glance: Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Welder/Fitter to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Power Bus Way Team in Mississauga, ON. The Welder/Fitter will be responsible for welding and fitting metal components per drawings to create finished structures or products. What Will You Do?: - Interpret drawings to select pre-cut metal plate and sheet parts. - Operate a saw and cut bars, tubes, etc. to specific lengths and angles per drawings. - Take prepared metal components and fit together per drawings. - Set up and operate welding equipment to fuse metal segments, using various welding techniques, to complete the project. - Operate manual MIG & TIG welding machines - Finish welds (e.g. grinding, cleaning). - Inspect product to ensure it is structurally sound and adheres to quality standards. - Communicate any machine or production problem that may affect the desired output to the Production Manager. - Willing to take part in additional shop activities such as component fabrication and assembly - Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment. - Other duties as assigned.
