Description GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The Cardiac & Vascular Sonographer performs diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular and related conditions. The Sonographer operates ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with professional standards, including those established by the American College of Radiology (ACR), applicable credentialing organizations, and facility policies and procedures. This position reports to the Practice Manager and works collaboratively with physicians and members of the healthcare team. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: This position reports to the Supervising Physician and Practice Manager and works collaboratively with members of the healthcare team SUPERVISION EXERCISED: As delegated by manager ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including cardiac and/or vascular studies, as ordered by a physician. - Ensure examination orders are complete and contain appropriate clinical indications. - Review patient history and supporting clinical documentation prior to examination. - Prepare and position patients safely and appropriately for procedures....
