The Division of Gynecologic Oncology in the Department of OB/GYN at BIDMC is looking for a hard-working, compassionate, positive individual to fill an essential role. Gynecologic Oncology provides surgical care to patients with known or suspected gynecologic cancer. The Clinical Nurse is an integral part of the care team. Gynecologic Oncology functions as a team to provide patients with the best possible care. Candidates must value serving as part of a team and be willing to learn about and participate in the coordination of patient care. The nurse will work closely with the surgeon, as well as administrative staff to ensure timeliness of patient follow up and continuity of care. Responsibilities will include the review of new patient referrals, pre- and post-operative patient education, telephone triage, and clinic visits. These may include staple removals, voiding trials, wound checks and injections, among other nursing responsibilities.
