Job Details Under the direct supervision of the Environmental Services Supervisor, The Lead Environmental Services Associate performs a variety of housekeeping duties and troubleshoots and triages problems and issues that arise and helps coordinate the activities of the Environmental Service Associates in the performance of their duties. Fills in for and/or assists supervisor to maintain standards of safety, cleanliness and orderliness. Job Description: Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson. Establishes and maintains clean, sanitary, and safe environment in assigned work areas by following departmental policies and procedures (20%) Proper disposal of biohazards according to EPA and OSHA codes and regulations. Handle the disposal of environmental Contaminants such as: batteries, thermometers (mercury), and needles. Keep biohazard food and loading area safe and clean of debris. (20%) Maintains equipment, clean carts, buckets, floor machines, other equipment, and supply closets to give the hospital a professional appearance.
