SUMMARY: Direct both design and fabrication engineers in the development and production of micro-optics products. Responsible for developing products per customer requirements. Have a hands-on mastery of micro-fabrication processes and the ability to train others. Create concepts and prototypes that will seamlessly transition into production. Effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and productions teams the job requirements and progress. REQUIREMENTS: - Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of robust manufacturing processes for SiO2, GaP, CaF2, ZnSe, and other devices, and similar products using semiconductor-related wafer fabrication technologies; including photolithography, plasma etching, wet etching, metal lift-off, metrology, dicing, assembly and inspection. - Design and assemble functional prototypes. - Assist in the development of manufacturable production flows for new products. - Work with both Design and Fabrication Engineers to evaluate candidate designs and to finalize designs. - Provide sustaining support in the production area.
