Description Summary: The Vice Dean for Research (VDR) provides strategic leadership and primary responsibility for shaping the vision for continued growth of the Johns Hopkins School of Nursing’s (JHSON) research portfolio and scholarly activities. Reporting directly to the Dean, the VDR leads the development and evaluation of research and scholarly activities at the school, working closely with the Nursing Office of Research Administration (NORA), the finance team, and the HR team. As a key member of the school’s senior leadership team, the VDR works closely with other school leaders to provide coordinated leadership and to integrate research and scholarship within JHSON, thereby facilitating faculty and student research. The VDR leads collaborative efforts with research leaders across JHU, including the JHU Vice Provost for Research. The VDR provides leadership to further advance the national and global reputation of the JHSON research community's contributions to nursing and health care.
