Job Summary A Stain and Paint Technician is a skilled trades professional responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing and applying paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes to achieve high-quality, durable results. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of color theory, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Principle Duties and Responsibilities: - Surface Preparation: Clean, scrape, sand, or remove old finishes to prepare surfaces for painting or staining - Mixing and Matching: Prepare paints and stains to match color specifications, using correct ratios and equipment - Application: Apply finishes using brushes, rollers, spray equipment, or other tools, ensuring even coverage and desired texture - Quality Control: Inspect work for defects, rework as needed, and maintain consistent quality across projects . - Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines, use PPE, and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment - Inventory Management: Maintain supplies and equipment, and report shortages or malfunctions - Collaboration: Work with designers, clients, or supervisors to determine color, texture, and finish requirements - Minor Repairs: Perform small touch-up...
