Polar Operations LLC (d/b/a IMC Markets) is seeking a Data Engineer in Chicago, IL. Your Core Responsibilities: The Data Engineer builds and administers data workflows in IMC’s evolving, modern big data environment. Develop and extend in-house data toolkits based in Python and Java. Build data pipelines using big data tools including Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, and AWS. Work with our trading and research teams to develop data solutions. Assist in identifying solutions that match the problem space and harmonize with our internal data platform. Improve the performance of financial analytics platforms built around the big data ecosystem. Partial telecommuting permitted.
