Job description

Overview Applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of cardiac care planning. Effectively communicates pertinent patient/family information to the physician and health care team. Collaborates in establishing patient goals and evaluates progress to ensure effective outcomes. Furthers professional growth by engaging in learning activities according to the Board of Nursing standards. Qualifications: Education required: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing License, certification and/or registration: Current Alabama State LPN License. Current CPR certification. ACLS certification preferred. Experience: Two (2) years of professional nursing in a cardiac setting. Additional skills/Abilities: Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care. Collaborates in establishing the plan of care, coordinates and implements care delivery while anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
