Job DetailsJob Location: Emerald Isle Foods LLC - Richmond, VA 23234Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: GraveyardJob Summary: The Sanitation employee is responsible for supporting the cleaning and sanitizing functions of the warehouse operation. This position includes active participation in tasks necessary to ensure that the warehouse maintains a safe and hygienic environment, in compliance with regulatory requirements, customer specifications, and company standards. Essential Job Functions: Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment Promote health and safety in the workplace. Understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), and inspection regulations. Read chemical labels or Safety Data Sheets (SDS) to learn how to properly handle chemicals. Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing tools, equipment, and the warehouse environment using various chemicals such as chlorinated alkaline detergents, acid detergents, and different sanitizers (QUAT, PerQUAT, chlorine-based).
