Description JOB TITLE: Mechanical Principal Engineer: REPORTS TO: Director, Mechanical Engineering: JOB STATUS: Full Time: FLSA STATUS: Exempt: JOB SUMMARY: The Mechanical Principal Engineer will play a critical role in the specification knowledge, training, onboarding, decision making, workflow development, and general upkeep of the mechanical engineering department. You will collaborate successfully with stakeholders including project managers, project engineers, engineering designers and design engineers, other engineering disciplines, procurement, and field service, as well as heavily with the customer, to ensure that our department decisions align with customer requirements, field services needs, industry standards, and company best practices. Our Mechanical Principal Engineer would be responsible for being a main point of contact for the company for a customer in mechanical engineering. You would understand baggage handling systems fully, comprehend customer specifications and be able to influence future specification changes, and create standards for both ways of working and internal specifications.
