This Opportunity WSP is looking for a seasoned CAD Designer to join our Earth & Environment team in our Austin or Houston offices. The ideal applicant should possess extensive experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, particularly in creating drawing sets including civil grading. Candidates are expected to exhibit strong communication skills and the capability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of proficient professionals. The primary responsibilities include consult and partner with engineers on projects with small to medium scope of work and moderate complexity to build detailed designs, redesigns, and edits on engineering projects and change orders, working from sketches, key plans, and verbal instructions to produce the final design. Draft new and edit existing designs, drawings, layouts, charts, diagrams or maps using computer aided tools from sketches, key plans, site plans, and layouts in order to support proposals, reports and presentations. Assists senior staff in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations and completeness of data and adherence to prescribed analysis, design or computational methods.
