Summary: Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures. ** Monday to Friday 3 - 12's with rotating weekends and nights *** Responsibilities: Receives and processes specimens for delivery to the laboratory.Assists in decontamination, preparation and sterilization of instruments in sterile processing.Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.Continually accounts for number and location of instruments and supplies during surgery.Ensures good working order of equipment and instruments.Assists nurse with patient care.Passes instruments to physician during surgery.Prepares surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment and supplies.
