Department Silverfield College of Education and Human Services, Advising Compensation: Negotiable The primary purpose of academic advisor is to support and guide students throughout their academic journey. Academic advisors play a crucial role in enhancing student success and ensuring a positive and productive educational experience. Job Function: Academic Advisors serve as a resource to all prospective and current students within the College (undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, and graduate).Academic advisors are required to be familiar with overall Department of Education and Board of Trustees policies and procedures that govern the matriculation process (e.g., general education, Gordon Rule, transfer admissions requirements, registration processes, class scheduling, graduation, etc.)as well as appropriate student referral sources (e.g., academic support services, career services) to facilitate student success. Academic Advisors perform the following duties: - Provide individual and group academic advising across all modalities including in person and via phone and virtual platforms, as appropriate. - Assist in limited access program admission, where applicable. - Assist in probat...
