Job description

Zachry Engineering Corporation (ZEC) is seeking an Architect III to work in the Downers Grove, IL Design Center. The ideal candidate will lead complex architectural projects and evaluate, select, and apply standard architectural techniques to deliver projects according to client specifications. Perform a variety of routine architectural assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for assigned phases of a project. Participate in analyses required to formulate and determine design criteria for buildings, structures, systems, materials and components. Assist in the preparation of architectural, engineering and construction drawings, specifications, bills of material, building code reviews and cost estimates. Participate in studies of construction techniques and economic feasibility studies, such as the provision of “value engineering”. Review client requests for architectural change orders and recommend action to supervisor. Assess vendor submittals and field information requests.
