Low Voltage Technician

Job Summary: The Low Voltage Technician Level I/II/III is responsible for the support of the maintenance, installation, and repair of low voltage systems and equipment used in retail stores, offices, warehouses, and 3rd party businesses. Work Location: This position requires travel to various store locations throughout an assigned area. Essential Job Functions: - Take ownership of the low voltage systems in K-VA-T facilities and 3rd party businesses becoming a proactive partner of the systems in his/her assigned facilities. - Running, pulling, terminating, splicing, diagnosing, and maintaining all aspects of the low voltage cable systems including but not limited to CAT5, CAT6, Fiber Optic. - Install connecting blocks, fiber enclosures, racks, backboards, and patch panels. - Install, diagnose, and maintain routers, switches, and support structures including ladder racks, network racks/cabinets, j-hooks, and TV trapeze using information provided by appropriate engineers/contacts/senior technicians/knowledge. - Install new and remove old equipment and associated low voltage systems as needed for new stores, remodels, upgrades and 3rd party businesses. - Conceive and help develop proc...
