INFS 609 Metadata and Access (3 credits ) Course Description : The course presents fundamental theories and practices of organizing and describing e- resources in libraries, archives, and related fields. It covers prevailing metadata schemes, extensible markup language (XML) and the metadata application profile. It also discusses issues related to the management of metadata schemes in cultural heritage institutions.
