Job description

The position of Chaplain is based upon the belief in God and the dignity of the human person as created by God. The chaplain assists patients, families and colleagues in their spiritual and emotional needs during times of illness, injury or stress and serves as a model and source of Christian witness and spiritual presence to believers and non-believers. The chaplain exemplifies and promotes the Mission, Vision and Values of Door County Medical Center in conjunction with its affiliation with Hospital Sisters Health System. Education Required: Four units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) from an ACPE accredited program, Master’s Degree in Theology or related field. Or: Two units of CPE from an ACPE accredited program 32 master’s credit hours in theology or related field 1,000 post-CPE hours in direct ministry Related Years of Experience Required: Two years’ experience as a Chaplain in a clinical health care setting preferred. Skills Required: Shift: Working 20 to 40 hours a week.
