The role/ impact We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join the engineering teams behind the Xero Accounting App (XAA) , our flagship mobile experience that helps small business owners stay on top of their finances wherever they are. You will contribute to high-velocity product delivery while maintaining a steadfast commitment to system health and engineering excellence, leveraging AI to improve productivity and ship value to our customers, faster. You’ll seek clarity within technical complexities, making data-driven decisions and major code design choices that solve engineering problems at scale. As a role model for best practices, you will support your team in building high-quality products, ensuring our software is scalable, secure, and maintainable. You’ll help maintain a high standard for engineering excellence by coaching and mentoring team members.
