Responsibilities: - Guides and counsels individuals and families in crisis, ranging from the unemployed to children who need foster homes to elderly people who have no one to care for them - Assists clients in obtaining government funds, education, or treatment - Secures information, such as medical, psychological, and social factors contributing to client's situation, and evaluates these and client's capacities Asks clients to explain problems, such as personal and family adjustments, finances, employment, food, clothing, housing, and physical and mental impairments to determine nature and degree of problem - Helps patient and family through individual or group conferences regarding pl...
