Summary Responsible for managing the operations and maintenance of the fabrication, installation, and repair of all signs and markings devices within the City of Garland. Number of Direct and Indirect Reports (include titles ): 1- Signs & Markings Coordinator, 1 – Senior Signs & Markings Technician, 6 – Signs & Markings Technicians, 1- Sign Fabricator Pay Range: $51,563.20 - $65,665.60 (depending on qualifications or experience) Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned . Oversee and assign duties to traffic signs and markings employees, as well as work performed by the sign fabricator. Oversee traffic marking projects performed by contractors. Develop and maintain inventory of signs. Create and compile information and keep files on job task. Prepare specifications for signs and markings material and equipment purchases. Oversee the operation budget for two Divisions and monitor Division expenditures Review bid submissions and prepare bid award recommendations Coordinate and help facilitate traffic issues between department personnel.
