Senior Transportation Planner

Job description

Reporting to the Transportation Manager, you will serve as a Senior Transportation Planner providing flexible, onsite coverage across Grocery & Snacks and Refrigerated & Frozen transportation planning teams. You will rotate between teams based on business need, stepping in to support daily execution, complex planning activities, and coverage gaps. This role is designed for an experienced planner who can adapt quickly, provide subject matter expertise, and support continuity of operations during periods of shifting demand. A Taste of Your Responsibilities: Execute end‑to‑end transportation planning activities to support daily shipment execution for customer and stock transfer orders Optimize load factors, select appropriate transportation modes, and ensure route guide compliance to support service and cost objectives Serve as a primary point of contact with customer service, warehousing, and inventory deployment partners to resolve carrier failures and service disruptions Use transportation systems and reporting tools to identify scheduling, on‑time delivery, and carrier performance issues and take corrective action Provide coverage for Grocery & Snacks and Refrigerated & Frozen pla...
