POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Manager of the Schizophrenia Outpatient Clinic, you will demonstrate comprehensive psychiatric and risk assessment skills and a commitment to recovery-oriented, evidence-based care. As a Registered Nurse you will work in a clinical case management model of service delivery to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing interventions that support client goals and facilitate recovery. You will demonstrate superb communication and relationship-building skills. You will work collaboratively and effectively with interprofessional team members with respect to clinical practice, education and research, utilizing best practice guidelines for individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia or related psychotic disorders. QUALIFICATIONS: •Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario required. •Demonstrated knowledge of Canadian Standards for Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing •Demonstrated ability to practice within the Standards of the College of Nurses of Ontario •Commitment to fulfilling the Mission and Vision of St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Hamilton •CNA certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing (CPMHN(c)) preferred •CPR certification requir...
