About the unit 1H is a 22 bed adult critical care unit at Blodgett Hospital. 1H cares for medical ICU patients as well as some surgical ICU patients. As a team member on 1H, you will see a wide variety of different ages and types of diagnoses and participate in many different types of ICU level care. Some of those diagnoses include stroke, sepsis, diabetic ketoacidosis, and respiratory failure. You will get to learn about ventilators, sedation, paralytics, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), post cardiac arrest cooling, ICU thrombolytic therapy, and much more!
