Job description

Audubon is currently seeking a Journeyman I - (Pipe Fitter/Welding) to join our team in our Offsite Office. The Journeyman I will perform skilled carpentry work involved in construction, maintenance, and repair; perform related and other work as required to maintain facilities in a safe and efficient condition. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Performs skilled, complex tasks such as layout, cutting, welding, brazing, and testing (hydro/pneumatic) of high-pressure piping systems. - Measures, cuts, bending, and assembling piping in the right positioning for system placement. - Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings and other structures. - Knowledge of pipefitter principles. - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. - Prepare, fabricate, install, and fit pipe to specifications. - Install valves, hangers, supports, and flanges inside piping system according to plans and applicable specifications. - Perform tests to ensure the quality of the pipe and the piping systems. - Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment.
