ARNP - Family Medicine - River Crossing - ( 26002746 ) Description The University of Iowa Health Care department of Family Medicine is seeking an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. T his position will f unction as an Advanced Practice Nurse and change agent incorporating the primary role of nurse practitioner and the supporting roles of consultant, educator, researcher, and administrator to support quality care and positive patient outcomes. Duties to include: Assure clinical competency and expertise in area of specialization. Function independently and/or as a member of an interdisciplinary team to plan, deliver and evaluate health care for a defined patient population. Collaborate with nursing staff/nursing administration to monitor and evaluate the quality of patient care. Determine nursing care requirements and develop programs for a specific patient population, with regard to patient condition and age, and follow universal precautions. Promote health maintenance that spans the continuum of health from outpatient to inpatient settings and back to the home care arena.
