Temporary assignment for 16 weeks POSITION SUMMARY: The primary goal of the Payroll Department is to provide timely, accurate and full accountable payment to all employees according to Canada Revenue Agency and Ministry of Health's MIS guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS: RESPONSIBILITIES: - Knowledge of payroll procedures and processes gained through Payroll work experience, 3 years - Completion of Level 1 Payroll Association Payroll Compliance Practitioner Certification Program, required - Post-secondary accounting education preferred (e.g. completion of College Accounting courses) - Strong computer skills, especially working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Access, Outlook and Infinium (HR/Payroll system) - Clerical testing may be required as part of the selection process - Accurate data entry skills - Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, in person, by telephone and through written correspondence, focusing on excellence in customer service - Ability to organize daily work tasks in cooperation with other staff - Courtesy, discretion and confidentiality required - Must be able to work as a team - Must work well under pressure and tight deadlines Some dutie...
