Description The University of Chicago's Department of Pediatrics is searching for a full-time faculty member at the rank of associate professor or professor to serve as an academic physician and as Section Chief of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. In this role, the Section Chief will be responsible for enhancing the Section’s clinical and academic excellence through program building, administrative leadership, and mentorship of the faculty and staff of the Section and the ambulatory clinics. The appointee will provide clinical care to pediatric patients and as Section Chief advance high-quality equitable access and strengthen institutional and community partnerships. In addition, the appointee will be expected to undertake research and scholarly activity in any area of basic, translational, or clinical research including but not limited to health outcomes, clinical trials and health interventions, health economics, population health, and/or informatics, while supporting faculty development and extramural funding.
