The Water Group is seeking to appoint an Associate Director Dam Safety Regulation in a full-time ongoing capacity. Dams Safety NSW is an independent regulator established under the Dams Safety Act 2015. In line with its legislative objectives, Dams Safety NSW seeks to ensure that any risks to people and to environmental and economic assets from dams are of a level that is acceptable to the community. - Dam Safety Regulation - Permanent full-time opportunity - Office location negotiable across NSW, hybrid working supported - Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $183,848 to $208,267 + super About You: The Associate Director Dam Safety Regulation, a newly created role, will oversee the day-to-day operations of Dams Safety NSW, providing leadership, direction and management of the agency. The role leads audit and compliance activities to ensure effective dam safety and associated emergency planning and procedures by registered dam owners, developing and implementing dams’ safety standards in accordance with the Dams Safety Act, 2015.
