Job Description: The Director, Office of Academic Support oversees the full range of academic and disability support services at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University (the Medical School). These services include but are not limited to tutoring, disability resources, academic coaching, learning skills development, and one-on-one academic support. The duties of the Director include direct oversight and leadership in the design, implementation, and assessment of comprehensive programs and services that support the academic success of close to 600 medical students; leading the academic support team; supervising academic support staff; as well as providing consultations to students to improve academic skills. The Office of Academic Support Services is part of the Office of Medical School Student Affairs and the Director reports to the Associate Dean for Student Affairs at the Medical School. The Office of Student Affairs supports medical students in their development throughout medical school, in part by fostering an open, caring, and inclusive learning environment and serving as a responsive resource for students.
