Job Summary Job Title: Specialized Emergency Department Nurse Location: Miami VA Medical Center Period of Performance: 08/12/2025 – 08/11/2030 Shift Schedule: PRN; Twelve (12) hour day vs night shift 7:30-8:00 Position Description: The Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) plays a critical role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This position encompasses various units, including the First Encounter Station, Main ED, and each designed to triage, assess, and deliver emergent care tailored to patient needs. The ED RN is responsible for managing patients across a broad spectrum of acute medical, surgical, psychiatric, and trauma conditions, including high-volume cases such as low back pain, chest pain, and essential hypertension, with viral screenings constituting a significant portion of visits.
