Job description

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist for a new full time, 1 year fixed term contract to support a unionized production-driven industrial manufacturing operation. This role is focused on employee relations, labour relations support, policy interpretation, HR administration, and legislative compliance, with a strong emphasis on practical application of the Employment Standards Act (ESA). Key Responsibilities: ◦ Employee lifecycle transactions (onboarding, role changes, terminations) ◦ Leaves of absence (ESA, WSIB coordination, disability administration support) ◦ Benefits and payroll coordination (data accuracy and escalation, not payroll processing) - Provide day to day HR generalist support to management and employees within a unionized industrial manufacturing environment - Interpret and apply collective agreements, company policies, and employment legislation - Support employee relations matters including discipline, attendance management, accommodation, investigations, and grievance support Administer HR processes such as: - Apply Employment Standards Act (ESA) requirements with demonstrated practical judgment - Prepare HR documentation including letters, rec...
