Description The University Of Michigan School of Dentistry invites qualified applications for two (2) full-time Tenure Track faculty positions at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a vibrant, growing, and well-established department with state-of-the-art research and clinical facilities. The Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine is inclusive, diverse, creative, and dynamic with strong faculty on the tenure and clinical tracks. Current research foci include bone biology and regenerative medicine, tissue and bone augmentation, the human microbiome and its role in maintaining health or causing disease, cancer biology and therapeutics including oral cancer, diagnostic indicators of periodontal and peri-implant disease and its relation to systemic health, clinical research and behavioral/educational research. There is a long history of collaborative multidisciplinary research and many faculty hold joint appointments within the university; i.e., Medical School and College of Engineering.
